Venezuela: The National Assembly has approved the National Production Law in the first round of debate. “According to Efecto Cocuyo, the law requires the Executive to return firms expropriated by the government to their original owners. (…) President Nicolás Maduro rejected the law and called on workers to oppose the measure, which he stated would threaten to privatize all public and socialist businesses.”
