Union leaders warn about the privatization of Aerolineas Argentinas

Union leaders warn that President Macri may be moving towards the privatization of Aerolineas Argentinas, the national carrier. The Secretary General of the Asociación de Pilotos de Líneas Aéreas (APLA), Pablo Biró, says that “if Airlineas ends up privatized and they give it to a multinational, it's going to end badly.” Also, “the government has authorized the extension of jurisdiction in the trials that the State has against it within the framework of Public-Private Participation (PPP) projects.” Such arbitration panels would be a transfer to foreign jurisdiction. “This is very serious in terms of the transfer of sovereignty, analysts warn.”
