“Shocking” proposals to cut health and social care services are causing a backlash

“Shocking” proposals to cut health and social care services in Helensburgh and Lomond are causing a backlash. “Unison says it has been inundated with concerns over Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) plans which, they say, will see 400 redundancies and the privatization of all home care services. Simon Macfarlane, Unison regional organiser said: ‘Since news of these shocking proposals began to break, Unison has been inundated with members contacting us to express their dismay and fears, both for their own jobs and the services they provide.’”
