Governments need to terminate all free privatizations of hospitals and State-funded schools

Paul Sweeney, chair of Tasc Economists' Network and former chief economist with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, says we should take back all public assets we gave away for free and that governments need to terminate all free privatizations of hospitals and state-funded schools. “Governments need to take a wider public interest viewpoint and terminate all free privatizations of hospitals and State-funded schools, seek the ownership of all such free privatizations in the past and ensure these are listed on the State’s balance sheet as assets.”
