The Confederation of Workers of Benin have gone out on strike

The Confederation of Workers of Benin (CSTB) have gone out on strike to demand that the government repeal laws that withhold the right to strike of health workers, justice workers, the paramilitary, and magistrates. The union confederation also demands the end of corporate, public and para-public privatizations, the reinstatement of the dismissed workers of privatized or liquidated companies and services, an end of the post-2008 dismissal process for staff, and the payout of the remainder of their contracts and wage arrears.
