What does water mean to you?

Feb 17, 2021

Water means different things to different people. By recording - and celebrating - all the different ways water benefits our lives, we can value water properly and safeguard it effectively for everyone. Share your stories, thoughts and feelings about water.

Share your stories, thoughts and feelings about water on social media using the hashtag #Water2me, by 15 February. UN Water is collecting the messages to be presented on World Water Day, 22 March 2021.

UN Water will publish a 200-page report on valuing water which will have chapters from UN agencies, the World Bank, the OECD and other multilateral institutions working on water.

We want to add the voices of workers, from all sectors and all countries, and from family members on how you understand the value of water in your daily life, at work, in your home, in your cultural and religious practices.

UN Water is collecting these messages by 15 February and will compile them from many different sources, to be presented on World Water Day, 22 March 2021, on how people value water.
