No privatization of the people's post office!

Postal workers across the country staged a national day of action to oppose the Trump/Republican plan to privatize the U.S. Postal Service. Private sector workers, e.g. the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, have weighed in to support the public postal workers. “U.S. Postal Service mail & packages fly on our planes. The routes we fly to communities across the country depend on a strong, public USPS. No privatization of the people's post office!”

At national convention, postal workers protest Trump's privatization plans

At their national convention in Pittsburgh, thousands of postal workers rallied against privatization. “The rally, organized by the American Postal Workers Union, protested a forthcoming report from the White House that will likely recommend the privatization of the Postal Service, which critics say has lost money and struggled with the rise of electronic communication. The union argued that privatization would bring an end to universal service, leading to higher prices, unequal treatment of Americans in rural areas and an undoing of the agency’s heritage.”
