The COVID-19 pandemic will have a massive impact on the implementation of the SDGs and the fulfilment of human rights. The looming global recession will dramatically increase unemployment, poverty and hunger worldwide. Moreover, the crisis threatens to further deepen discrimination and inequalities.
Global unions are joining forces for a gender equal new normal in a series of webinars addressing women workers in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak, with contributions from unions representing workers across sectors and regions.
